At Amazon, what is the difference between a Program Manager and Technical Program Manager? It looks like the Technical one gets paid about 25% more but not sure what roles/responsibilities they do differently. Amazon
Also how technical a background does someone need for a Technical Program Manager role?

I guess they should stop making ads that offend people. Which shouldn't be that hard to do. The odd thing is that most of their ads have always had a feel-good vibe to them, so I suppose this one just hit wrong and seemed to really disturb people (though a lot of that is exaggerated via social media, of course). But I can't imagine it's much of a crisis in the real world. Tangentially, I personally think their fetish about bragging about how thin their products are is really weird. But their fanboys seem to eat that up.
Yeah, this didn’t bring the feel-good vibes and quickly went into cringe territory. I’m curious to know how many people actually care about having a thin product? I feel like that phase has past
Its understandable that you want to show people in a creative way how great and innovative you are. However, I see such action similar to the "compare pages" that many companies have nowadays, instead of focusing on what they can offer and how, they go looking for how to crush competition to look good?! I think such practice is so outdated and dull ... its not the pepsi vs cocacola era anymore.
Yeah, in this day and age, the economy, and the growing discontentment of consumer pressure, companies are forced to focus on why customers should buy their product, not solely rely on comparison. Since the iPad Pro is about as expensive as their MacBooks, and the Air is their cheaper alternative, it will be interesting to see if they can still meet their targets or not
I think you're right about consumers no longer being impressed solely by slimming down already existing tech. I think what Apple should do is go back to the drawing board and focus on finding ways that they can once again push the envelope. They may have gotten complacent being at the top of the game for so long.
Stop using Congolese child miners for their products
The exact opposite of what they just did. I can't remember an ad sparking such widespread, instantaneous backlash. It's borderline impressive. With that said, I don't think they need to worry too much. Get back to their advertising basics and this will all blow over in another day or two.
