I’m realizing a lot of startup ideas don’t fail because they’re bad they fail because nothing ever gets built.
I’m a developer and enjoy helping turn vague ideas into something real you can actually test.
Curious what people here are working on right now, or what’s been sitting in your notes app for months.

Friends, need some feedback on an idea:

I’m thinking of starting a podcast interviewing leaders at startups about their experience with specific challenges - I know, cliche, get a more original hobby, etc.

Not looking for the narrative arc of How I Built This or Masters of Scale. Instead, looking to uncover specific problems faced by companies that tried something new for the first time. What did they not see coming, how did they adapt and measure, etc.

I have a business idea in the VR/AR space utilizing AI. However, I lack skill sets to evaluate viability or to create an MVP. Neither do I have a network to tap into.

My plan is taking classes to deepen my knowledge while joining and actively participating in communities to find collaborators.

Does this approach make sense or do you recommend other approaches? If it makes sense, do you have any recommendations for classes or communities?

Look forward to hearing your experiences and wisdom!

I have a question about pricing. Some context to my upcoming question: My brother and I are starting a personal training business. Apologies in advance for the rambling post. Maybe more of a confession but feels better to post here. Brand new startup, how do we think about social media?

We tried paid ads and it’s expensive so we want to acquire users through content marketing. It’s a product that helps people discover gift ideas - and it’s a web app.

What’s a good way of creating a social media strategy for it? Or is social media content marketing a good idea at all for early startups?

What are other ways to acquire early stage users?

Any good recommended books on how to build a scalable product and team? I've been promoted into a management role from Dev roots, so need to learn more PM processes to be an effective manager in day job, plus would like to start building my own SaaS solution.
