I’m scheduled for my first case interview in less than 2 weeks but don’t feel that I’m ready and could use the extra prep time. When I had initially spoke with the recruiter, he told me I could move out my initial call if needed. I emailed him last week to see if I could reschedule to a later date but have not heard back. Would you follow up or is that going to jeopardize my interview?

What’s the best way to make your email stand out to a recruiter?

Or are there any chances to get a change in shift after getting on boarded?

Do you have advice on how to interview better with Amazon?

My résumé and portfolio are great, and I’ve been asked to interview with Amazon for 4 different teams now. However, it seems like I’m not making it past the first 1:1 interview. 3 out of 4 have resulted in not the right fit for reasons unknown; they don’t provide any feedback either. Saw a job on LinkedIn applied for it and the CEO of the startup reached out to me saying he was game to move to the next stage of the process. Spoke to hiring manager and they even offered another position which matched my skills. Scheduled a full panel interview. Met with the team had a great chat, Founder even said "I guess you can start right away"..Hiring manager calls later says they'll update then boom that generic email hits my inbox. At this point you're just like arrrrrrgh😩

I’m at a mid size transactional firm. I’m a total night owl and my partners have OK’d me starting the workday at around 11am because I regularly work until midnight or later. I get so much more done after dark! I still get some side eye from other associates, but 🤷🏽‍♀️

It happened again today. I was walking from my car into a building and remembered I had forgotten to lock my car. I had the urge to turn around but I remembered that the only valuable thing in my car was my work laptop. And I would cry tears of joy if someone broke into my car and stole my work laptop.
