Precisely the reason I quit. Pay didn’t bother me as much. But the stark difference in maternity leave?!?!?! I said goodbye within 5 months.
Yes, I understand that it made sense back then. Now, not so much.
Understand your feelings. They say USDC is created for the purpose of differentiation. If USDC gets par with Core , then there’s no point in having that differentiation.I am with the firm for 8 years now , and I hear the “doing same work “ story all the time , but the bitter truth is that leadership never agrees with this point and they always make sure to declare that core is more valuable than USDC. That’s their strategy and they intelligently play that card.Unfortunately you don’t win that game . Sorry and all the best!
Leave? If you think you are worth more and aren’t a visa captive then apply elsewhere
DM me for a referral at EY.
Much better over here and you'll more than makeup the gap between Core and USDC.
The pay gap exists because the billing rates are different between core and USDC. To stay competitive in the market, Deloitte needs a competitive rate and USDC primarily exists to address that. Therefore the compensation is never going to be the same.
Said another way, if USDC billing rates are same as traditional track to match employee compensation, we simply wouldn’t have as many projects as we do now.
I know it hurts but this is how business works. The best you could do for yourself is market yourself better and take your skills to some place that compensates well. USDC is not that place.
Feel free to transfer and get more work!
Unfortunately, there is no other way in usdc. You can write to Dan and hope it plays out.
You can transfer to traditional.
The problem is, it's easier for people to just leave USDC than to try and maneuver into Core/Traditional.
Yeah it's possible but unless you love Deloitte you are better off leaving.
How much is the pay gap, OP?
