I’m still pretty new to the firm and trying to understand what my job/role is as a staff. It’s my first job out of college and would like some advice.

Hello! I’m currently a Administrative assistant now working at a major medical system in Baltimore. I’ve previously worked for 10 years as a medical assistant in a variety of specialties and primary care. Lately, I’ve been feeling a bit stuck as to my next step. Part of me want to go into management, another part is saying go get your RN, and the other is saying go into Social Work. I’m all over the place. Any ideas? Detour or shortcut, my goal is to be in strategy consulting. Is it better to just wait for a couple more years and then go directly into strategy consulting? Are IT DD and ODD experience viewed favourably by strategy consultants?

If you look up Jennifer Sethre of Intry on LinkedIn, she lists that she was President of Lighting Science Group Corporation from Nov 2013 to Aug 2014, but I found an SEC Form that says she was appointed President March 1, 2014 and resigned July 17. And if you look at the rest of her work experience, it is all top exec roles all the way back to her first job after university in '94, which is a VP role. Odd, no?

I'm 32 and looking to make a career change. Previously I've been in sales, sales QA and some analyst position. I want to transition into learning programming and decided the best roadmap for me would be to learn Salesforce, land an entry level admin job and develop my skills over time to transition into programming.

How realistic is it to go from no computer science degree, to getting Salesforce certs and an admin role?

Would it be practical to look for an apartment 10-15 kms away if the office location is Marathahalli?
Location of choice would be hebbal, thanisandra, avalahalli and other similar ones.
Would it make sense to reside in such locations and travel to work?
