Up for manager in summer. Is it worth completing one year as manager or should I move on? I've hit my personal goal of 5yr experience and would HATE to endure another busy season (Jan 2019).

Been in consumer insights all my work life (10 years) and considering pivoting to product or product marketing manager roles. Yet I have had some interesting convos for people manager roles in insights recently and wondering if I should maybe refocus my efforts there. I’m looking for a broader mandate than just my immediate pipeline. I have been enjoying insights but grow frustrated by the lack of decision-making power. I rather would want to take a path with high long term career potential.
