I’m thinking about shifting from short-term options to LEAPS for a more passive approach. The idea of buying deep ITM calls and letting them ride sounds appealing, but I’m not sure if I’ll be patient enough to hold them through ups and downs. Anyone else transition to LEAPS? Was it worth it?

Anyone who has started up a side hustle whilst working in consulting - is it generally a good idea to let your employer know or will they make your life difficult/try to push you out if they know?

(Context - I need the extra income to have a shot at affording grad school, I work for a small boutique, job contract was ambiguous on the issue. Side hustle is selling stuff I make as a hobby on Amazon)

I’m seeing lots of posts about really bad losses. If you trade you’re going to lose money - hopefully not all the time, but many positions will be mistakes. But you need a process to find ideas and manage positions. Two books you should read are “The New Trading for a Livinng” and “The Laws of Trading.” Both look at psychology, process, and risk in different ways that can help you work out your own process. The next 18 months will be much harder than the last 18 - time to start learning.
