I'm trying really hard to understand the Gen Z lingo (we have a few in our office now), but I can't keep up! Doesn't anyone else feel that way when working with younger people?

I think this means the vibe was not right and a little sus. Cap means no lie. Someone on Insta posted a whole breakdown on slang. Very educational.

I’m gen z and don’t use slang like this in the workplace, but my mom is a high school teacher so I’ve spent my whole life explaining slang to her 😂 she still texts me asking questions.

Hi fishes,
Want some feedback for Employees Assistant Program (EAP) by Capgemini which provides facilities to connect with Therapist.
Actually I am going through some tough times(going through a divorce), want to connect to EAP to discuss my mental health issues.
I had connected once and they say that the conversations are strictly confidential.
Just wanted to know do they really keeps stuff confidential or can they inform my Manager regarding the personal conversations.

I am going to move in the next few month to a location with a higher cost of living due to personal circumstances. I love my current company but I’ve only been here a little over a month, how should I go about requesting if it’s possible to get a salary increase? Additional Posts in Paralegals

I’m interviewing with another firm next week. Has anyone made a switch like that before? How did you do it? I work in a small criminal firm now. Interview is with a same size/practice area firm.

I am a paralegal interested in making the jump from litigation to Worker's Compensation. I don't have recent experience in WC but recall it was a lot of form work. Any Worker's Compensation experts here that can offer an opinion (is it a heavy lift) and run me thru some of your daily activities? I am in New Jersey. Thanks!

What were some effective tips or resources that helped you to learn the systems of your first firm? We feel like our firm admin/paralegal is not getting acclimated and not assisting the firm as we hoped. So we want to make sure we’re effectively training her and providing the best resources/tools for success.

Are there any fully remote lawfirms, ie you don't have to live in the state they have offices? I'd like to keep my current job part-time but get back in a lawfirm too.
