In a tough position - pregnant and worried about layoffs. If that happens, should I go contract or apply to other firms? Main deciding factor is maternity leave. Has anyone ever gotten an exception to the one year tenure rule to be eligible for leave?

I am in a similar boat as you are. This stress is certainly not helpful in anyway

I think you are better off sticking to your firm and take maternity leave offered by them. You don’t get that at Deloitte ? You can interview and try to request an exception. But be prepared to get denied. Most jobs these days require people to start soon

You won’t be paid if you are working on a contract setup.

What is the basis of your worry, did you have bad year end ratings?

We do and I’d love to stay if that works out, just trying to plan next best in case it doesn’t.

Yeah if you have already submitted paperwork/gotten approval and won’t be PIP’d due to performance, I wouldn’t worry too much about this. It would be an HR issue if they let you go at that point. Talk to your coach if you haven’t yet, they should let you know how you are doing or if there is anything performance related

Just received an offer from Deloitte (advisory SC, in risk and financial group (gps?)): $152k, $8k sign-on living in DC. Currently $135, but I would have to pay my current company apx 7k to move (payback for TA). DC area, in a highly cleared space. Any recommendations on how to counter or if its worth it?

Looking for opinions on this process.

Health tech company with a semi-luxury D2C service, $1k - $3k price point. Semi Brand Recognition with FB + IG marketing to generate leads in the Bay Area.

Leads are redirected to our website, which is optimized for self-service and conversion.

After a day, unconverted leads are assigned to outbound SDR team. They’ll get around 750 leads per month, converting at a 5% conversion rate.

Is this viable? Thanks for your input! 🙏
