The price will be nearly $1M, the same as something built in 2010+ with similar square footage (because a lot of the price is the lot, its a super expensive zip). Should I steer clear because of the age? Will it cost a ton in maintenance and utility bills?

What are some of the things that were a MUST when buying your first home and what were some things that you were more flexible with and why? I’m having a discussion with my partner about what we absolutely need and what can be worked on later.

What are your thoughts on buying a house now and refinancing later? (Hopefully when interest rates are lower)

Incoming MBA, I have my tuition paid for and rent covered (I will be an RA). So the only thing I need to pay for is food and entertainment. Do you think 20k is enough to last me through the 2 years? Does anyone feel like they don’t want to go back to normal? On the one hand, absolutely I want to. I miss seeing friends, dressing up, going out, and traveling for work. I’m seeing lots of posts about really bad losses. If you trade you’re going to lose money - hopefully not all the time, but many positions will be mistakes. But you need a process to find ideas and manage positions. Two books you should read are “The New Trading for a Livinng” and “The Laws of Trading.” Both look at psychology, process, and risk in different ways that can help you work out your own process. The next 18 months will be much harder than the last 18 - time to start learning.

I think it truly is amazing that the entire market gets pumped up like a biotech penny stock pump & dump.
