In house tech hours? Thinking about going to a start up as a specialist. They are in hyper growth mode but already traded on nasdaq (weird history here). Any positive or horror stories about hours at companies like this?

Anyone know how to deal with sleep problems? I find myself waking up in the middle of the night and staying up for a few hours because I can’t sleep. When I do eventually sleep I get like an hour or 2 before work which leaves me tired and grumpy.

Potentially at an all time low - personally, professionally and emotionally. I have to believe that life’s inflection points happen for a reason. There’s a bigger lesson for me around this corner...

Out of curiosity and to test the market, I interviewed at a FAANG. Did not get the job, but found out TC was 350k, significantly higher than my TC 230k. Starting a new job next month, and considering taking two days off for kids’ spring break next month. Not sure whether it’s appropriate to request time off for a new job (I would’ve preferred not to take any time off for first three months). I may just be able to just ask for a single Friday off (so 1 day rather than 2 days).
