Working remotely is generally a huge advantage, but it can be difficult for some people. It is pretty isolating, and conventional wisdom holds that you may not advance while working remotely, just because you'll have less visibility. If you don't mind days in the office, the hybrid situation, which involves a step up, might be the better choice. But, of course, it also depends on the salary, benefits, PTO, and so on.
Remote job opportunities dreaming for me
As far as salary - should I consider a slightly lower salary if I am offered the remote position?
Has anyone else come across this? What are your takes on working remotely? Do you like it? Do you Miss the daily interaction with your team? What are the pros and cons??
Remote work can be a challenge and takes a unique individual plus you have to motivate yourself to work every day. Hybrid at least you get to go into the office to work (normally companies that do hybrid are 3 days in office and 2 remote which normally are Mondays and Fridays for working remotely), and in office would just be going into the office every day. I have seen some remote roles that pay less than those that are in office or hybrid. For me, it does not matter if it is remote, hybrid, or in office as the main thing is having a job and earning money. I have had a role that was remote although the manager wanted us to go into the office to work for a day which I had to scavenge for equipment to work with as I only had brought in my laptop, mouse, and headset and was lucky to come across two monitors and a docking station or else I would have had to try work with the laptop monitor when the job had us using multiple tabs. Honestly, I would go with the role that you feel offers you the best and longest opportunity more that whether it is remote or hybrid, the title, and even the pay (unless it is really a big difference between the two rates).
Thank you!!!! The thought of 100% remote never even entered my mind - so this opportunity has honestly thrown me for a loop! Lol. I’m not sure how to wrap my head around it! Although the concept does intrigue me.

Consider what your commute would be like. How much would you be spending on that. What are the pay and benefits differences. I'd do the math on everything and see what comes out ahead. I personally took a hybrid position over fully remote but the pay was 20k difference with hybrid being the higher paying job. The commute is rough though. But as a single person I like the human interaction in person and don't know how long I would enjoy fully remote. Some people love it though.
There's a lot to consider and it can be very subjective and person dependent. Me, it's mostly about the money and stability though.
