After submitting my resume for the Global Finance and Business Management full time position at JP Morgan (my dream job!), I got a HireVue invite the next day! However, I completed it 9 days ago and still have no response....
When do we get a response in average, and after how much time does it mean I probably am not getting an offer to continue?
Thanks!

In wealth management, you can choose between a variety of companies. Mine offers a cash balance plan and a 401k, health benefits, and other programs. With that, you don’t get the top payouts in the industry. Others you make more cash but you have to provide for your own health insurance and retirement savings. A few others fall in between with limited benefits. I would suggest if you have the energy and appetite for it, inquire and ask questions at a bunch of different companies to see what’s offered, what platforms they use, payout structures, if you inherit business or build from scratch, if you can join a team, etc. Figure out what model fits you best before making any decisions.
What pace of life do you want now? If you value security and stability, why not go the state route? There's great benefits, a pension, PTO, etc. Working for the government is underrated and if you're looking for peace of mind and structure, you can find it there.
It’s hard for me to choose right now because I can see myself doing either, but when I think about my future and future family I want something more stable but my drive right now is craving something a little more engaging like wealth management but I think not going the state route would be a mistake thinking about retirement
I think I would follow the latter advice, work in private industry now when you have more energy and flexibility as a young person. Then when you're older and want better WLB, you can transition into a state role. Sounds like a pretty nice life!
Thank you
