Industry people, how long did it take you to get promoted from SM to director?

I want to exit to MBB but if that’s not a possibility what are the next best consulting firms? Looking for at least midsize firms (non-boutiques).

Where do general management consultants exit to ? I feel I don’t have any substantial skills. I am a jack of all trades (a good one, but still).

For those of you who have exited where did you exit to? What are good industry exists that aren’t utilities?

I always bill 100% of my time and for my entire career in public accounting I have never heard anything negative until recently..
