Anyone familiar with the Operational Excellence & Transformation department at Truist? They seem to be on a hiring spree. Prior to applying I want to know if it's a good jump from consulting/how they are viewed by other consultants. Currently a SA at a Big 4 with 4 YOE.
Has anyone jumped from Big 4 Advisory to Tier 1 Consulting firms (e.g. MBB). Was the jump at the same, higher or lower level?
How much should I expect as a salary going from big 4 FDD to in-house corp dev with 1-2 years experience as a senior
6 years in consulting at big 4 firms including strategy projects. Have a horrible undergrad gpa (2.8)...what can I do to get into a top MBA program? (Not HBS/Wharton/Stanford, but schools like UVA)
If you are not a partner, do any of the Big 4 have a mandatory retirement age? I have a friend who is working in industry and has been approached by a few firms as he has a very desirable technical skill set. He is in his 50's and doesn't want to make a move unless there is some runway to keep working. He basically could work as long as he wants where he is at. The pay increase would be significant for him to jump to but if he is mandatorily forced out in a few years it might not be worth it.
Was talking to a few friends who are B4 consultants and were mentioning there 100-200 person projects. I’m at a boutique and my average project size is 3-8. What’s been your experiences?
Just curious, what are all the B4 policies on the vaccine and how they are accommodating for personnel WFH?
With Google employees unionizing, makes you wonder if other professional service employees could follow. What are the chances something similar happens at Big 4?
Does anyone know anyone who exited big 4 risk consulting to Google? Curious on what the exit opp was
Anyone from McKinsey Human Capital -change management folks here? How is your work different from what big 4 do?
Does anyone do IT audit work at Protiviti? Is the work life balance actually better than B4?
Deloitte is giving mid-year hikes. Is this also happening at other consulting firms, big 4? EY PWC KPMG Accenture
Hey all, I seriously can’t find any Philadelphia-based Big 4 management consultant job openings other than a few senior manager or higher positions. Otherwise, they are all tax audit or tech consulting. Are the analyst/associate/senior management consultant roles titled differently? FYI, I had trouble with this pre-covid. Thank you
Looking to get in to Cyber Security sales. What are some of the good companies to work for? I’ve come to realize that I am not super technical, but I do like to sell, and have great communication skills. Having worked for big 4 in cyber for 5 years has taught me a lot, and would like to take risk getting into sales, and hopefully make a good return. Please help. Thank you!
Hello fellow Freelancers! I’ve just quit my FT job as a senior accountant at a Big 4 accounting firm. My hope is to gain enough freelance work to continue working on my own and enjoy freedoms of being a freelancer. Please send me a message if you are looking for a freelance CPA!
Pros and cons of big 4 TAS vs working for firms like D&P, A&M, and FTI? Also any others I happen to be missing
I’ve been on PTO since yesterday but I keep checking my emails through my phone... what is wrong with me 😣
Are any human capital/HR practices or consultancies hiring? Friend graduated and looking for entry level role.
Thoughts on direct lending as an exit?

How many companies these days actually do agile correctly 😑 we've been doing iterative waterfall for about 3 months and the client is excitedly using our project as an example of "true agile" ...
Hi Everyone I am currently working in a fintech company since 2 months but due to toxic work culture I'm planning to shift ,I have 2 years account management experience and I was wondering if any of you guys could help me get a CSM Or Account Management profile.? What does your retirement budget look like? Assuming no debt. What is your expected basic minimum expenditures (core life)? And what are you budgeting for fun and luxury? My basic is around 10k a month for taxes and food and transport and utilities. Luxury and fun is another ten. Big expense in basic is property tax. Big expenditure in fun is travel. I think my basic budget is too high and I could bring it down and be very happy in a smaller home and less restaurants.
Started business 2 months ago.. had great start now dead in the water trying to scrounge for job back at B4. Thankfully still have savings (6mo) and didn't invest a ton into biz yet. Still scared
Applying for MBA programs in Fall 2021. When I matriculate I’ll have 7 years of healthcare consulting experience. Will this give me a competitive advantage when I apply and will I be among the oldest students by far?
Got laid off but found a job. Unfortunately I can’t start for like 2 months. Any ideas on jobs I could do in the meantime? Can’t drive so no Uber. Willing to do minimum wage, anything will help
I’m realizing I have a lot of fear—mostly related to health stuff and death. Feel like people are getting sick left right and center (not talking about covid). I’ve never had anyone close to me become very sick or die—don’t know what I would do if this happened. I’m also overly concerned about my health and seem to be at the doctor every month to get something checked. Can anyone relate or provide suggestions on how to overcome something like this?
I am terrible at negotiating salary because I often undervalue myself. Looking for thoughts on base comp ranges for the following: - 12 YOE (mostly in industry) - ETL, analytics, and BI heavy experience (SQL) - Technical background but a lot of business/ops team interaction as well - Leaving B4 consulting to go back to industry - Prefer Senior IC role, but overseeing 1 - 3 jr analysts ok - Live in a LCOL state - 5+ years remote working experience - fintech, martech exp - some python/r
I’m a freelancer, never held a senior title before, have an offer for senior at $115k from matte projects. They have cool clients, and I’ve always wanted to work more on events, but they have a super low rating on glassdoor. Any tips on how to proceed? I have more interviews coming in and I’m aware it’s a employees market right now. The job sounded perfect until I read the reviews on glassdoor.
What’s a good rule of thumb on how much maximum to spend on a car with a particular salary? I know for renting housing the generic guideline is [gross take home]/40 or some say 30%
Hello! A senior associate that I work for is expecting and she will be going on parental leave soon. She has been a great mentor to me and so I wanted to get/send her a gift congratulating her on the new baby once she goes on her leave. Any ideas for a gift? (We aren’t incredibly close so it doesn’t seem as easy as shopping for a friend/family member who just had a baby, if that makes sense) TIA!
