I have no advice to offer. Just wanted to say that your backyard/ surrounding is insanely beautiful! Wow!
It’s a dream!! I am really happy for you & hopefully a fraction of this is in my future!
Looks amazing! I love your yard and the tree looks good to me. Are you somewhere in CA? Free tree advice hack: your town probably has an arborist or public works department with a few on staff and they love to talk trees! They may even offer to come take a look. Def worth a call to ask
Thank you! This is North Carolina, but our A&T university does have an extension here that I can ask. Tagged them on Facebook lol
Looks good to me! Lots of healthy new growth. Continue to prune off anything originating below the graft and otherwise keep up the good work.
Oh, and get that mulch away from the trunk if you don't want the trunk to rot. Should be at least a couple of inches of space between the trunk and any mulch.
Mulch is good, piled up against the trunk is bad 🙂 the term arborists use for extreme cases is "mulch volcano". See e.g. https://extension.unl.edu/statewide/dodge/mulch-volcanoes-a-harmful-practice-for-trees/ but if you Google mulch volcanoes you'll find many other universities recommending the same practice of avoiding bark-mulch contact.

It’s getting acclimated to the outdoors. Keep paying attention to it. As long as there is new growth or the stem/bark doesn’t dry out, it will be fine.
Oh yea, I can't remember what kind of citrus bc it never really produced fruit. Some kind of tangerine.
