I'm serving notice period in TCS and my last day is in 2 weeks. I requested for pickup of laptop in the portal but I came to know that it will take time for pickup and I won't be available if they come late. So I decided to go to office and surrender the laptop as I'm in the location of office only. Is there a seperate request to be raised for surrender of laptop and how to cancel the existing request for pickup. Please guide.Tata Consultancy

Generally, HR tries to get everyone on the line together to provide feedback. When that does work out, a decision can be made extremely quickly.
Sometimes though, people aren't able to attend all their meetings in this line of work, and then have to be chased down separately.
Got it! Super helpful. Thank you!
Not necessarily a bad sign. Sometimes the recruiting team does have to chase down a few busy people for feedback, and there was a holiday period.
Now, it's not necessarily a good sign either, but I wouldn't think too much about it.
Yes. For 1st round behavior + case with different people, how do you usually make decision? Do the two interviews give feedback separately to HR or they make a decision together and let HR know?
Generally agree with KPMG. But if you are in the middle, ZS tends to get the 2-3 folks on phone to make a decision call. And we are very busy right now in Q4. So don’t lose hope.
Wouldn’t worry too much since its Q4 and happened around thanksgiving. I waited 3 weeks after R1 to be told i’d be moving on to final round.
Omg was it for ZS too? Thanks for the DP

I don’t work for ZS but can give you perspective as I’m a recruiter. What they said above about chasing feedback, although feedback forms should be automated and usually hiring managers have 48 hours to complete. Also, may be finishing all the candidates 1st round and then debriefing on determining next steps. This happens a lot, but the fact HR didn’t say no to you on Wednesday is a good sign IMO. Bad on the recruiter though for not keeping you updated. Good luck!
Having worked at Deloitte and Kpmg, typically after an interview people get on a call immediately. Decisions atleast for entry level position is made typically the same day or the day after, I have never seen that call together being more than 1-2 days later, if someone can't make it they will email feedback. I would be surprised if this isn't also the case at a large firm like ZS.
I do not think this wait is a good sign and would argue this is not a good look on the recruiters either. HRs at Kpmg typically will call candidates the next day or sometimes even the same day with an offer or otherwise.
For ZS, the call is the day after or 2 days after. But you need feedback and consensus which may take more time for a not straightforward case. Don’t sweat it. We are hiring like crazy right now and tons of people are being interviewed.
I waited a month after my first round before I moved on to the next round. I wouldn’t worry yet. Everyone has been very busy.
Thanks for the DP! Super helpful
