Anyone here work for any of the LBMC offices in Tennessee and willing to share their experience? I’ve been working for Deloitte for 5 years and considering applying to a regional firm in hopes of a lighter work load. But I know moving to a smaller firm doesn’t always mean less work. I am in tax so any insight into that specifically would be much appreciated!
Feeling very anxious and defeated. Did great on an interview until I started rambling during the last question. I tried to recover afterwards, but just feel like I’m going to be stuck in this job that is so incredibly draining; yet I’m also grateful to be employed during this time. Not feeling great at all.

Currently in the final stages of the interviewing process for a "non-partnership track attorney" position at a top-ranked big law firm. I graduated from law school in 2019, and my eventual goal would be to work as an Associate on the partnership track at a medium-sized firm. Will this position "stain" my resume compared to staying in my current position as an attorney for an SRO?
Anyone actually like doing SOX testing? Interviewing for a Financial Reporting Compliance position that's 70% SOX work.
Have a few upcoming practice interviews with McK people - and have done a fair amount of case prep but still nervous and wanting to impress (especially since they’re all EM+). I think overall I’m better at candidate led due to mainly practicing those, and I understand the actual fundamentals don’t change style to style, but outside of repping McK cases is there anything anyone found particularly useful when practicing those types of cases that they might recommend to me? Thanks!
I was reached out by a internal recruiter for QA Automation Engineer. Already had two rounds of technical interviews by a engineer and the manager. The recruiter says there will be three more rounds of behavior based interviews. Can someone pls tell me what should I expect to be asked? TIA

Planning to be in Mexico City for ~2 weeks at a super short notice for a mix of reasons. Couple of Qs: 1) Any recommended affordable on points Marriot hotel in a nice neighbourhood (was looking at AC Santa Fe and a couple of Courtyard hotels)? Would prefer something closer to sightseeing sites 2) Any day trips or overnight trips from Mexico City that you’d suggest? 3) Is USD accepted in most tourist places or is it relatively easy to exchange USD to MXN while I’m at Mexico City?
Do you take interviews if recruiters say your comp requirements are “a bit out of range, but we could get approved for more?”
I currently work in a hybrid sales/marketing role. However, I would love more experience in marketing specifically so I can move in to a marketing specific role. Does anyone have a suggestion of books or articles, podcasts, organizations to follow that will allow me to stay up to date on the latest trends but also help prepare for a marketing centric role? Thank you
If my goal is to move back home to San Diego should I consider San Diego MBAs? Or just not do an MBA at all? Or do an M7 that's on the west coast? Really curious to hear people's thoughts
🐠: Going to start traveling again soon, and don't have status on any airlines. Which airline do you recommend I use, considering ease of boarding, available overhead space, etc. I'll be going to CLT
So it starts: PwC is putting in place a non-essential travel ban (anything internal) today.
With both me & my wife working it’s kinda difficult handling one kid, is it a good idea to go for another one?
I'm the in-house at a small consulting firm in LATAM, I've been here for 3 years now and my salary is slightly above the market. These people has been very good to me, they even accepted that I went out in working hours some days to attend my LLM (I worked extra hours to compensate). Now I'm receiving a job offer from an American CRO. I'd only center in contract and budget negotiations, which is a portion of what I currently do. I'm afraid that I could change a great position for nothing, WDYT?

My 4 YO takes riding lessons at a small barn outside of the city. I hopped on a horse there recently for old time's sake, but haven't really ridden in years. A casualty of the legal profession, along with the rest of my hobbies from my former country life. His instructor asked me if I'd be willing to get back in the saddle. Part of me is like, this is the change I need. It will help me lose this COVID-15lbs. But I'm also terrified and I have no idea why. (cont)
