(Cont) my boss had my back and thought the whole thing was really petty, and even said he'd approve whatever schedule I needed. He even said he'd go to bat for me to his boss. I told him better to just leave it be bc this whole thing is stupid (among other things). Here's the other kicker - half my team is remote, including my own boss! And the other offices are apparently very lax. Moving forward, I'll just try to make extra effort and give my boss a heads up when I'll be in later, but this is really stupid. We're all professionals here, and this isn't kindergarten. Have you ever dealt with a hidden clockwatcher?

what in the game of thrones is this? are you back in high school 😂. drag them by the collar and give them a swirlie in the restroom
I like this approach lol
I don’t think it’s right but so many of us have been in a role where we work so hard and others are online barely 5 hours a day and we pick up their slack (months and months). It can be frustrating. However it doesn’t sound like this is your situation. And a week is nothing even if you barely worked (what happens when you are sick?). This doesn’t sound like it was handled well and wasn’t warranted…not your coworkers responsibility either.
I think it’s especially weird if this person isn’t on your team and is watching you. You being there has no impact on them.
Op this behavior is prevalent in most organizations
