Yes - for a single person that’s a lot.
Edit: but a crazy amount, just more than average.
What are you getting for it? Where is it located and how are the finishes / building services.
I spent 4 years in Houston and had a large 1-bed for around $2,000. Loved the building and had an amazing view / location.
Currently live at 1414 Texas, we were probably neighbors at some point

2200 can get u a pretty sweet spot
Good to know. I might be looking for a new place. My lease is up at the beginning of the year and I am needing to find a new place that is affordable.
Yes it’s a lot for a 1 bed in Houston
Most “luxury” apartments are now approaching/exceeding $2k/month in popular areas (Heights, Montrose, River Oaks, Downtown). I think midtown is still relatively cheaper but wouldn’t advise living there unless you’re right out of college.
It really depends on so many things. First off it depends on what side of town. Then it depends on how big the apartment is and what you are getting for it. For a two bed two bath luxury apartment downtown, I would say that is not alot. But again, it really just depends.
