No. 35 LPA is too less. You will not be able to able to buy any 5 BHK apartments from DLF. A Mercedes will cost you starting ₹35 lakhs+ which will be difficult in this salary. Also, you will not be able to buy a personal airplane since there would be traffic on the road and you’ll not be able to commute, without a private jet. I would recommend, not to come to Delhi at this meagre salary. Please ask for a raise to survive with these basic needs.
I'm in my early 30s, currently earn INR 30 LPA and my wife brings in another INR 20 LPA. We are renting here ofcourse (2BHK, INR 40K/ month), and have an EMI for our car (INR 40K/ month). No kid though. So roughly we'd be at the same position I guess in terms of finances?
Beyond that, I'd say it's a balance between how good of a lifestyle you want vs how much you can save. We're able to lead a pretty decent lifestyle (2 long vacations a year, an outing every week, shopping, etc). Savings could be better, at only about INR 40k/ month, which is less considering we bring in about INR 2L-2.5L/ month.
So broadly, considering you have your own place and car (and don't need to save up for a home loan/ down-payment), you'd be more than comfortable with what you're getting.
Anything else you'd like me to specifically talk about?
Haha, good way to summarize. Ah, had my heart set on the Slavia/ Virtus, but the Nexon just offered better value for me. Had Slavia/Virtus safety ratings come earlier though, I just might've moved the budget needle a little bit.
I'm at 60L in Mumbai and still struggling for daily needs because of high rents.
Where do you work? And how many years of exp?
In Delhi one Chai costs Rs 100 and 1 kg sugar costs Rs 400. Hence it’s like almost getting 3.5 LPA in any other cities.
Pl don’t fall into the trap of such a pathetic offer!
Why not get 30 rupees milk at home and it serves 3 times chai
😅😅😅
I think question should be like how to spend that much money in Delhi.
Ask these questions to locals in Delhi during night walks.

Trying so hard to show off their remuneration, looking like dumb fools
Assuming by 35L, you ment CTC and taking 10-15% variable in that, I guess your fixed pkg would be around 30L.
This means you will get a 2L net salary in hand every month.
20-40K house rent (depending on your lifestyle)
20-30K Grocery (depending on how many people)
10K fuel
2-4K for mobile and wifi
5-10K for domestic help
5K medical expenses
15-30K random expenses
Total(Approx)=80-130K monthly expenses (Rest you can save and invest)
No man thats too less ask atleast 3.5 crores
@fishbowl this post needs a “dislike” option
It’s depends on dependencies and expenditure

You may merely survive.
Na bhai bhukha soya krega kbi kbi 🧐🤕 what a timewasting question
No, In delhi you need 36LPA to have a normal life.
Seems more like a show-off than a question 😂😂😂
Yes, it's sufficient!
Great
