Did it with all three of them - they seem to be working out fine (5, 4 and 1.5 now). At six months they can start interacting a little with some of the other kids
To some extent easier than when they are older since they are not as aware about the transition than if they start when they are older. Just find a place that has a good infant room
We started our first at 8 months and he was fine. Starting back up again post Covid was a lot harder because it was a big change in his routine.
We started at 4 months. Best decision we made.
Started at 5 months and it’s been a dream other than the weekly payment
Personally, I'd rather have a family member like a grandmother or mother-in-law
I feel like 6 mos is a bit young. We waited til ours were 1. What about something like an au pair who can help in-house with baby while you guys are working?
Started all three kids at daycare between 3-5 months. Our youngest is “graduating” daycare this year and we’re sad to no longer be involved there since they were so wonderful.
Nanny
Worth every penny
My daughter went to day care at 4 months. We found a really incredible daycare and it was a great choice for us. Yeah, they come home with more colds for a bit and that sucks, but now that she is older, it is rare that she gets sick.
Anyway- daycare saved our sanity, allowed us to return to work, and our daughter loves school and her friends.
I went the nanny route. It was great and she still comes over to see the kids a few times a year.
