I don’t know any IT auditors with a CIA. I know several (manager level +) with CISA. Are you trying to move away from the IT audit realm / Will the internal audit position need IT audit experience?

like

Not an auditor but IT consultant/ mgr. CISSA based on # of folks at senior levels who have them in my experience

helpful

I know a few CIA in industry, but they are mostly fiancial/operational and have CPAs. I would focus on CISA and then a more technical or specialized cert.

I don’t know anyone with CIA. Most it auditors I know have CISA.

How about CISSP? How much weight does it carry? If I have a CISA working in IT audit, would CISSP add more differentiated value?

Hello people of San Diego! Would love to hear how y’all are affording to live here comfortably. Please state your company, position, TC, YOE, and do you have a side hustle? I’ll start - I’m an advisor in Wealth Management with TC of $70k, 3 YOE and no side hustle. Among other things, rent just jumped from $2500 to $3700 for 2 bedroom and areas were looking at. I’d like to “make it” here but if it means switching career to make money I’d like to get an idea to make the right job change.

Just curious to how my firms (wealth management/bank/trust) comp compares with others out there. I received a promotion earlier this year from an Investment Advisor, AVP to Senior Investment Advisor, VP and moved from $110K to $140K ($130 salary + $10K discretionary bonus) all in. By meeting expectations in 2 pay cycles, the base bumps up to $175K + bonus. Grown in this role over about 10 years with the same firm, MBA + CFA; top 10 city and living comfortably as dual income household.
