Social media definitely alters the perception of reality for a lot of these rising and recent grads but yeah, six figures right out of college is absolutely achievable for some, especially for those who are highly driven, great networkers, and quick learners. Real estate sales can be incredibly lucrative however, it's also a commission-based world, so it comes with its own set of ups and downs. There's no guaranteed salary, and it takes a lot of hustle, resilience, and patience to build up your business. So, are their expectations unrealistic or brilliant? Honestly, both.
I am not in the real estate bowl but I am a Gen Z and though i don't aspire to make 100K right away I do aim for higher salaries. I think my generation is more optimistic and business-minded like more interested in entrepreneurship. We know that making money isn't just tied to traditional careers. There are so many ways to do that now from new tech, social media, and new business models.
Goals made out of necessity. You can barely survive in a lot of places if not making a minimum of 6 figures. It will have a lot to do with the area. Sales is one of the more open fields to make some big money out of the gate, but nothing is ever for sure.
