Is anyone using an app or service to apply to jobs for you? Are you getting better results that way? Any ones to avoid?

No, and I'd really caution against it. I was browsing a different bowl the other day and saw an article about how easy this is for recruiters to spot. From the sound of it, they don't have a very positive view of these tools.

I would suggest avoiding it. Yes, you will get out more applications, but they will be significantly less likely to pass a human. It is worth it to take the time and do it yourself.

I tend to agree. And I don't want to contribute to the deluge of inappropriate applications every recruiter and hiring manager says they get!

Hello all, my first post. Anyone else feel like their general manager won't promote them because they're afraid you'll make them look bad. Like they don't do their job well enough so you'll outshine them? Do you stay? Leave? Try to build the relationship? It's been a year. @Aimbridgehospitalityllc

I need some advice. I’m the Director for a women’s only RTF. Everyone on site is my direct report, with the exception of the therapists (they report to the Clinical Director). The clinical director is not usually on site, since we have multiple locations, and she is the CD for the entire company. One of the therapists has been a manipulative snake since she started here last December. This is her first job after college and she just turned 23. See comments for more info…

a few weeks ago we had a super busy day with scripts and i think i went into ‘autopilot’ because i don’t remember it happening, but i handed out the wrong prescription to someone (before you get mad, i only started a few weeks ago and i’m a junior assistant), out of all people i could’ve given the wrong medication to, it was a blind person. i have severe anxiety already and want to know some tactics to go back to work without guilt? i take guilt very heavy and struggle to get past it all

I just learned I was parentified severely, especially emotionally. The discovery came from outside of therapy, but having a place every week to sit down, slow down & reflect def led to it. Being enmeshed with my parents like this was a cause for my anxiety, low self esteem and workaholic, people pleasing tendencies. I'm working on extricating myself and finding my identity again in a way that will be easy on my conscience and values..so I'm learning! Please dont hesitate to go to therapy!...

Bought this YSL bag as a gift for my sister. Unfortunately she was ungrateful so I didn’t give it to her. I’m unable to return it. It’s brand new still with tag. Willing to sell for the price I paid.

Kind of seeking validation here but also happy to take feedback. Is 22 too young for luxury goods? I’m obsessed with handbags. Like literally. I own 2 LV, 1 Chanel, 1 YSL, 1 Gucci, and just bought another Gucci. Idk what’s wrong with me🧐but I’ve been feeling super antsy and dissatisfied with life that I seek thirst in binge shopping, or even spending hours looking at handbags. Fyi I’m really not spoiled, most of the bags are hard earned and I consider myself to be ambitious

Hi 👋. I posted here a few weeks ago about being nervous conducting a PIP conversation with my team member.
I did it this week and let me just say it was the weirdest conversation ever. The guy is usually argumentative and tries to disprove every bit of feedback. But this time he just sat there and asked no questions and said nothing.
Maybe he’s looking for new jobs already - don’t mind this at all and this would be a good outcome for him overall.

I found a company I was really excited about working at. I applied for the job and went through 5 rounds of interviews. At the end they said I was OVER qualified and they want me for a different position higher up in the company. I was super excited they then had me go through 5 more rounds, 3/5 people were the same. The interviews mostly went "didn't you get the job, I highly recommend you? I'll just put you down as a 10". After those were done they told me I was UNDER qualified. Can't win!
