Tbh EY seems to be the cheapest of all big4. No bonuses to staff, no 5 weeks of pto, no Christmas holiday break. What did I miss?
Bruh we get gift cards and bonus, my partner is chill AF and knows he’s not shit without us so he fights for us at CRT.

Overall EY gets 18 PTO+10 = 28 days off out of the year. And our July 4 week off matches your Christmas holiday off (and is probably even better, seeing as most EY teams take the Christmas holiday off unofficially anyways or there’s very little work. ).
So it’s great that you personally never get sick but for anyone who has family or kids, the EY model actually works out a lot better.
The $5k bonuses mentioned above were larger than my Senior 1 PBB bonus, so I wouldn’t complain if I were you.
STA1: the PTO time is misleading; the other big 4 don’t separate out sick days, so you technically take your PTO if you’re out on illness. Plus, EY now has the July 4 week off. If you really add them all out, All big 4 have the same days off over the course of the year, in different presentation.
PwC gets the 4th of July week and Christmas this year 😎 and bonus at all level. And CPA bonus + discover trip for senior promo and 20% for manager on top of performance bonus. I'll take it.

Pwc only started giving bonuses to staff a few years ago- when they got rid of spot bonuses
PwC this year, 15 holidays, 15-22 days PTO, unlimited sick pay. Shut down for 4th of July and Christmas week. Pretty good deal honestly.
The thought is that Staff 1’s get $5k once they pass their CPA and Staff 2’s get a $5k bonus since it’s a promotional year. You are correct that staff don’t get performance based bonuses, but I imagine the above are meant to substitute it. Does PWC, Deloitte, etc. get the bonuses mentioned above plus performance based bonuses at the staff level?
I got the $5k bonus for CPA my first year plus 3-5% bonus for A1-A3. There’s no special bonus for senior promotion but everyone’s still pissed Tim cut the manager promotion bonus from 25 to 20%
Pls. I’m sorry, but sick days aren’t as flexible as pto. It’s not like I can ask for three weeks of pto and two weeks of sick leave together. Plus they probably don’t roll year to year? So no, not all big4 have the same days off over the course of the year. We have five weeks and plus a Christmas holiday break. I don’t get sick and don’t use pto for sick leave as a result so it all accumulates.
