Is it a red flag if job postings for junior to mid-level roles are open for 6 months or longer. I think some of the roles associated with the postings should be eliminated if the team is able to function without a replacement for 6+ months.

Does a really long time to hire mean the hiring process is broken, the hiring manager is indecisive, or a general warning that the company, team, or manager has problems?

My first thought if a job posting seems to endure forever is that it's a ghost job. Some companies will post positions they have no intention of filling. In many cases it's because they think it looks good, it appears that they're busy and always hiring, even if the opposite is true.

Looking at you AAA in Livonia. They are collecting resumes. I don’t know that they’re actually hiring.

It's likely a ghost job. They are probably open positions listed to make it look like they are growing to shareholders, or to collect data.

I’ve been with firms for 6 years. I struggle (not that I’m not intellectually capable of doing this job), I just hate the detail oriented nature of this industry. Everything gets scrutinized so carefully and most things I stayed up late for doesn’t matter.

I just got PIP talk and they are pushing me out next year. I’m kinda relieved. I want to leave law completely and be someone on the operation side. Eventually I want to be an COO.

How do I get there from here?

Hey everyone! I am working on a report with the intention of updating the products that a specific customer uses. Currently, the data is arranged with the unique ID in Column A, and associated products in Column B. However, each product has its own row so company 1234 might have 5 rows and company 5678 might have 20. What I need to do is collect the product data for each unique company and put it into a single row, separated by a comma(s). I am at a crossroads, any suggestions?

In my organization, most with my role are commission based.
