Is it bad that I want to take a monitor home from the office? No one is using it and I just need one extra monitor to work from home during busy season

I think just ask. Or buy one and get it reimbursed if that's an option. A lot of companies also have portable monitors that u can use. For example when I worked at EY they had them and my firm right now does as well.

like

This is what you call “stealing.” A better question to ask if you don’t already know the answer, is stealing bad?

U can get a monitor for $100. Just buy one..

They let us order portable monitors to take home at Pwc. Does your company not let you?

uplifting

I assume that many tax consultants are in the office most of time. Most firms will provide the portable monitors for those who are traveling and/or at the client most of the time and not for those looking to work from home. My advice is to talk to your senior manager and/or partner and hint to them that you are 200% more productive with a monitor during the weekends (trust me we love to hear that someone can be more productive) and see if they offer to approve a portable monitor for you. Do not take a monitor home without approval, it doesn’t matter if you had good intention and was planning to return it, it will be conceived as stealing.

Not sure if it is firm wide or just at my office but you now have to charge portable monitors to your engagement code. Problem for me is, I work on 3-5 clients a year. How do I split it between all my engagements equally? Or the firm could just give me he portable monitor I requested and move on

^i have two. One Igor the firm before they started making you charge it to the engagement and I recently bought one that is thinner and easier to travel with

Hello Everyone,

I am in search of a Project Manager role. I have about 4 + years experience managing projects and in consulting.

I am about concluding the google certificate in project management, and one unique think I bring into any team is my strategic thinking and ability to solve problems in record time.

I am based in Canada and a remote role will be great.

I anticipate your responses and recommendations thank you very much.

Anybody else noticed recruiters are only proactively reaching out about hybrid/on-site roles nowadays?

It's almost as if people don't want to be in offices anymore so that's why it's difficult for them to fill those roles.
Sidenote: recruiters, you can see on my LI profile that I'm remote. In the "What jobs are you interested in" field you can see I'm only interested in remote roles.
So, why are you reaching out to me about jobs in a city 3 hours away that's 100% onsite and w/out even a ReLo?

Hello,
I've recieved an offer from Morgan Stanley, my previous salary was around 6 Lpa and last offered was around 15 Lpa (WFH), I quoted 40 to 45% on top of that around 22 Lpa considering Mumbai location, WFO and Glassdoor pay range.
Did I just do a mistake by quoting too high a number? Please let me know your opinions.
