Yea but usually the salary bands don’t overlap with the next rank, which is why I am surprised. Well at least that is what I have been led to believe with my career experience and conversations with HR
If PwC, there is a major disadvantage because they are on the Cohort model, so a high salary at SA will get a tiny raise to M and you’ll be back to underpaid.
At D/E/K I think M is probably still better but you’re more likely to carry higher pay to future levels.
