Is it just me, or have creative briefs basically turned into a Slack message that says make it viral? I spent all week trying to extract actual KPIs and a target persona from our VP, only to be told to just use my intuition. It’s impossible to produce quality work when the goas are invisible and the strategy is vibes-based. How do you all handle stakeholders who refuse to give you a concrete brief but expect a 10/10 result?

Has anyone ever posted a general marketing position? We have an open position on our marketing team but we are unsure what type of position to offer. We have a wide variety of needs but don’t necessarily need to have this future person have all these skills. For example we need someone with great copywriting skills and also need someone who is great at digital marketing. This person doesn’t necessarily need to have both skills but if they did great, but if only one, great too.

How do y’all deal with people at work who are stuck on stupid? Like they have no idea what they’re talking about and they REFUSE to learn. It’s like they have a god complex or something even with proof, maybe bc of their tenure at the company? Even if there’s valid data backing up that they’re wrong.
