Is it me or is this job market fricken 'tough'? I'm out of work as a 30+yr snr leader & manager for 7mths. I have what it takes to be successful in a role, proven time and time. I'm using my networks, but nothing is coming off. And applying left right and centre for jobs, but not getting any interest (I've tailored my CV & application time & time over). I'm using LinkedIn, Seek etc. And what is not encouraging is seeing more and more layoffs. Any tips out there? Any others experincing the same?

I regret not applying to Harvard. I never thought I’d get into a top school and then got into wharton with a 100k fellowship - which changed my entire perspective. It sucks thinking “what if…”. I just didn’t have the confidence and thought wharton was a reach so why bother with H/S 🙃 hope this inspires someone to just shoot their shot - you never know

Had my interview on 12th Feb evening. The same day late night I got an email asking to upload the Application form( Completed the same on 13th Feb). Can I understand only HR discussion pending for me? If yes how much time will it take for me to get the HR call.

Since that day I haven't heard anything from the HR. I had called HR several times but no response from calls as well as mails too.

Three days later recruiter wants to give me a call and “give an update”. Schedules it after 2 days. This morning cancels last minute as they are having “internal discussions”. Any Bridge Engineers/Structural Engineers in here? I got my PE this year and have 5 YOE in TX + an MS. What sort of raise would you expect for receiving your PE working in a consulting firm? I am EOR on a number of structures in development, I manage EITs and Drafters (within projects; I'm not a supervisor), and am doing a lot in general. I'm at 78k currently, which is apparently still in the upper range of EIT salaries per a job posting in CO. I'm thinking of 15% (5% merit, 10% PE). Any ideas?
