Yes. It’s encouraged. In house is different than firm recruiting. It’s only lucrative on a retained, exclusive basis. Firm recruiting is contingent. Most search firms can only put you forward to the in house roles they are contracted to work on. One firm may have a search for Pepsi for example and the other would have Coca-cola, but you could be good for both.
Yeah you should definitely work with as many recruiters as possible. Cast as wide of a net as you can
Yes. In-house recruiting is totally different. There is a law firm recruiter on the West Coast who talks about this a lot on her LinkedIn. I don't recall her name, though.
As a recruiter, yes. In fact you have to because inhouse searches are generally exclusive to that recruiter. It’s the complete opposite of a law firm search, where using more than one recruiter is always bad idea.
Yes.
No expectation of exclusivity
Frankly, the best ones will tell you flat out if they can help you with an opportunity or not
I'd wondered this too and in-house recruiters have told me not to be afraid to talk to other in-house recruiters as you never know who a company will have hired to conduct their search.
Yes.
