Is it possible to negotiate your consulting level when joining a firm post MBA? I did ~2.5 years consulting (analyst > sr analyst) then left right before I got promoted to associate. Left to a Chief of Staff role (1 yr) then did strategy & Ops at the same company (1.5 years). Getting my MBA beginning fall 2023 and thinking of doing consulting again after I graduate but I think I would be coming in at the level I was before I left which is off putting for me.

I am applying for my FL CPA license. The work experience form asks for the start date, end date, and number of weeks employed. If I started working full time 7/20/20, do I just count 52 weeks and put that as my end date (i.e. 7/19/21)? Or should I put today (making it 56 weeks)?

Hi Fishes, I've 2.25 Years of experience in SAP Basis, but I've lost interest in the same due to not receiving proper training, inability to practice on customer's system and shifts. Would you guys consider leaving for a role that offers a much higher base salary but no opportunities to advance? Got an offer that’s an 85% raise adjusted for cost of living. The work seems interesting and I like the company but it’s a smaller office so I basically couldn’t get promoted unless my boss retires or quits.

Incoming junior-level consultant wants to know what is “billable hour”.
Once in a while I see discussions around billable hours, but I don’t know how that works. After googling, it appears to me that billable hour only matters to me if my salary is paid by hours. Since I will receive a fixed annual salary, does this mean that I don’t need to worry about the concept of billable hours?
A related questions: generally speaking, is the bonus related to the hours that I worked?

He has applied fr the match last yr & was nt able to match. Match process costs around USD10k; this year he is applying again after borrowing funds frm different sources bt he is under tremendous pressure to get match.
