Hello fellow Fishes I have an offer from persistent. Need some clarity on same. I want to know the grade system in persistent. What does 7.1 mean? Is 7.1 a right fit for an total experience of 10+ years? What is the appropriate CTC for an architect designation? I want to know if I am getting it as per experience.

Never trust anything recruiters tell you.

Oof shame on the recruiter for making it sound so certain. Fast-track promotions do happen but you need a lot of support, and from the sound of it you don’t have your coaches support. Try to get them on your side and explain that you fulfill SSS requirements and what your recruiter said, and see what your coach says after that.
The recruiter made it sound like I was ready, and just needed to “learn about the firm” a little before moving on to my next position.
Good luck with that !
What’s the rush for promotion? Is it just for a new title (doesn’t really matter)? Better pay (the gap is not that much)?
If you put in the extra time, learned the firm, showed great work and performed at a high level for a greater period that promotion may be worth more in many ways when it does happen. Plus you will have a better network to lean on in the SSS role.
Matter of fact is, I’ve 6 years of experience, I’ve a masters degree, I’m 30, and I’m wayyy behind.
Reach out to the recruiter that said that to you. Anything in writing?
No need to be sassy, you got bamboozled sucks. Was trying to help you there
