I think it is smart, but I also think that AI can be really good a stuffing resumes and aligning your resume to different job descriptions so you can frame your resume differently for each job posting

Thanks. I had chatGPT help me update my resume, but I don’t know how much to trust its outputs.
Before paying someone to do it you might as well tackle the job yourself. There are plenty of resources online. Glassdoor has a good section on writing a resume, if you Google it you can find that pretty quickly. If you go on the web and look up how ATS works you might find a lot of varied opinions and speculation, so be wary about that. It's essentially automated sorting, designed to winnow out unsuitable applicants, but it's not the mysterious dark magic some people make it out to be.

Thanks! Is this the article you are referencing? I found it pretty helpful. https://www.glassdoor.com/blog/rockstar-resume-tips/

Also, I’m looking to level up to Director role and have been working in Fortune 500 companies the past 15 years. How much are you spending in a service like this if you used one?
I have my concerns with most ATS tools but I’d suggest you combine both human and AI options to have a stronger resume

Thanks! Got a preferred AI model for resumes?

Mixed results across the board. A good resume writer runs $300-600 and can absolutely reframe your experience for ATS — but a bad one just stuffs in keywords without understanding your actual value. Vetting tip: ask to see before/after samples from someone in your specific field. Generic resume writers won't know that "campaign management" hits differently than "integrated campaign strategy" in marketing job descriptions. Cheaper alternative: run your resume through Jobscan against real job postings first. Did professional help actually move the needle for anyone here?
