Is it worth it to get the Amex platinum for the points if you already have csr? Have some big spend items coming up so will meet the spend minimum but hard to stomach paying $1200 total in annualfees.

Yes, go for the SUB on the Amex Plat and then consider downgrading after you've tapped all the benefits after the first year (and asking / fighting for a retention offer).

Happy to share a referral link. My link is currently better than the public offer (125K MR points via referral vs. 100K via public).

Also, call into Chase and see if they'll offer you a retention credit on the CSR. I've seen some DPs of Chase offering them starting in August. And if you feel like you're not getting value out of the CSR (travel credit, higher redemption rate, DoorDash credits, peloton credits, Lyft Pink membership, etc.), consider downgrading the card to a CSP or one of the Freedom variants.

More than worth it for the signup bonus but I wouldn't keep both cards open for more than a year.

A1, it really depends on your spending habits and credit card strategy

Personally, I keep my CSR open. I hit the Chase Business cards hard and having the CSR allows me to easily redeem points at a higher rate

Sell or keep my old condo? Condo worth around 450k and still 310k balance to pay off. Mortgage is 2200 (adding HOA) and monthly rental is 2300-2400. It's an old condo so maintenance has already ate 50-60k over the course of 3 past years. Should I keep it or ditch it given that the cash flow is so minimal & upcoming maintenance might take me another hit?

Question for folks with second homes: Considering buying a vacation home but would be primarily for family use. We currently have a primary residence with a mortgage balance of ~640K, so my understanding is I could only deduct the mortgage interest on 110K of the second mortgage to stay under the 750K cap. If I were to buy the second home through an LLC, would that allow me to exceed that 750K since the expenses of the second home would be pass through expenses/income?

I am being approached for RM roles at consulting firms and other agencies. I like the idea of building something here but would also like better benefits (more vacation, better mat leave).

We have savings of $250k and our HHI is c$350k, with no debt. We will probably exhaust our savings on the deposit and closing costs. A $1m with mortgage at 6% with property taxes is c$8k/month. We net about $14k, we think it’s just about manageable, however keen to get your views please? More context in comment below.
