I am investing as a beginner. What is a good company to start a brokerage account with ? Fidelity, Ameri E Trade, ML? I’m looking to put my money in index funds.

Had to cancel a flight with Alaska Airlines and they gave me a credit. Problem is company will only reimburse me for a refunded flight and the credit expires before I’ll be able to use it. Anyone have any luck/tricks to getting a refund from Alaska?

American airlines is so dumb. Was trying to purchase MCE seats for a long-haul. You can’t
purchase it online after check-in. And they can’t uncheck you over the phone. Good thing I fly Delta!

Lyft driver delayed picking me up 30 min, resulting in me canceling my ride and asking hotel to call me a “yellow taxi” to get to the airport because it was 5am and all ubers/lyfts were 15 min. Specifically said yellow. Hotel calls me a private lux SUV and the driver got out of the car to handshake the man who called and said hi (honestly money couldve been passed). I then get hit with a $180 ride. Marriott website says taxi should be $65. Should I complain or let it go?
