I worked there damn near 20 years ago and yeah, they were good. I worked at dentsu recently and it was so much more of a mess structurally, with less perks and incompetent leaders (but some cool clients). Could also just be the zeitgeist of ad agencies now.

They are by far the strongest holdco at the moment so yes. They’ve been winning like crazy and are positioned to keep winning due to acquisitions made 5 years ago, so now all other holdcos are playing catchup. So in terms of relative job security it’s a good place to be.

There are some great agencies within Pub Groupe. I’ve worked at two that were spectacular, one that was okay but with a terrible boss and one that is an awful, toxic dumpster fire (CoLab — where I currently am). I am leaving Publicis/ CoLab because of the horrific environment that is CoLab but would still consider going to another Groupe agency in the future if the opportunity/ agency felt right. In my experience the good agencies outweigh the bad ones in the Groupe but definitely depends on the exact agency

It’s hard to be motivated when rounds of layoffs happen and you see all your friends leave. But one thing that’s gotten me through all of this is working out. And when I say workout I mean the most pathetic, sad, barely completed beginner-level cardio dance routines. I’ve somehow forced myself to move while on lockdown and it’s somehow forced me to feel better. Whatever you’re doing, wherever you are: get up and move even if you don’t finish or end up going on a walk. Pls take care of yourself❤️
