Is RPA just overhyped? I can’t seem to understand the rapid success. RPA succeeds in putting a bandaid over legacy and degrading solutions. Does anyone agree?

It’s certainly not “overhyped”. You’re right in that it can be used to improve legacy systems, but the cost of implementing an RPA solution to tackle existing system problems is far cheaper and much less time consuming than a complete system change/upgrade. There’s also tons of other use cases (PDF automation, invoice processing, web and data scraping, etc.). Many companies are investing heavily due to the time/cost saving potential.

Also RPA is also strategically used as a band width creator so more internal resources can be used to implement the large overarching changes

Overhyped for those who don't know how to implement RPA...

Hi everyone! First time using this app. I always wondered, how are other IT help desk jobs? I’ll share how mine is.
I work at an MSP (Managed Service Provider) meaning we are the IT services for many other companies. It’s busy all the time and I get to experience all different types of apps, OSes, and almost every aspect of IT in this way. I make around 50k which is alright but its hectic as there’s too many tickets and not enough personnel. I heard this is common but I’m not sure.
