I am in the process of transitioning to a Junior RM role at a mid market bank in the Bay Area. I wanted to know what is a salary + bonus range that I can expect and/or request. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Is there ever a reason not to take a signing bonus? I wouldn’t have thought so, but saw a Glassdoor review from a disgruntled employee who didn’t last a year saying he regretted accepted it. Worst case is you just give it back, unless I’m missing something?

After 6 years of temporary contracts and unstable situations, I find my dream job in my dream company. All of a sudden the world goes upside down and I get laid off. I start sending hundreds of applications, with only 2 recruiters getting back to me to say I don’t have experience for the job (this is how it works in Italy). Add a terrible health situation in my family and it seems there’s no light at the end of the tunnel. Ugh. 😞
