I am seriously worried. I am doing my co-op and my supervisor is not giving me an easy time. I’m an associate attorney at a mid-size family law practice. (5 attorneys, 3 support staff). I’ve been here for 3 years and just asked for a raise to $130k from $90k. My annual billable target is 1400. However, since I’ve been here I’ve barely broken 1000 despite working my ass off. I bill out at $375. They told me no more raises unless I start taking my own cases. Now they just hired a new associate and are paying him $170k and he takes his own cases. Am I being unreasonable asking for $130k?
