Any one got the retention offer from TCS ?
Hi, I'm leaving Citi in 2 months. It's hard to make this decision. I have an offer from a small startup. In citi, my previous experience was not considered and was reskilled to different tech which is the reason for change.I don't like to exit citi. As I like the company so much. But considering my current knowledge,I am in the middle of the sea.I am afraid now that the new company's offer would be revoked due to this recession?Or can I take back my resignation in citi before the last working day.Is this wise decision?

I can sugar coat it, but the answer is yes
Yeah but the profiles of the ppl hired for the two roles are very different
Why does it matter? Which one would make you happier?
Unpopular opinion here: if you know what you want to specialize - then the former is better. The job will satisfy you more I’m sure of it! Being a generalist means you are not gonna like what you do sometimes and your learnings will stay as a general knowledge considering you won’t invest in the topic further.

Yes .
Yeah it may be better for certain ppl, just that the generalist track is more prestigious, not necessarily better for everyone
So in NA - they have the same for compensation, both client facing and can be staffed on same projects. It’s just you specialize in one practice/function as a Sr Analyst (expert path) whereas generalist BA tend to do random walks early years up until AP (those tend to have worse work life balance) At the end of the day depending on what you want and what you like.
