OP, that's not how you calculate hourly rate. There are 2080 hours in a year (52 weeks x 40 hours), that's why it's called an annual salary. You get paid for vacation and national holidays so you have to make sure those are in. Add 20-30% to the annual salary prevalent in your region for your position and level, then divide that big number by 2,080 hours.
Also how do you calculate salary hourly anyway: salary/ 12/ 20 / 8 ?
Temp to perm just means they want to try someone out before they offer them the FT, so no, not different. Yeah there are formulas but just take your $55K/year and charge $55/hr!
