Hey Everyone! I’ve unfortunately just got laid off from my company. This is my second time in 5 months getting laid off due to budget cuts. Quite frankly, I’m drained and in need of leads. I’m a DEI TA sourcing specialist with experience sourcing Technical, Finance, HR, Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Operations and Shared Services. So I just got fired…. And was told I’d get two months severance… I’m in utter shock since I just got back from the hospital. I was told I needed to improve my performance in January and all the check ins I’ve had I was told I’m doing much better and was put on multiple long term projects and then this happened. I’m in shock and idk if 2 months severance is good bad?!? Idk thoughts?

Took a new job only because I was laid off and desperate to find something, but it’s definitely not what I’m looking to do. Would it look bad if I left early (been about a month)? Should I include my current job on my resume or mention it if I interview?

The hiring manager for the role I’m interviewing for was fired right after my final round. Recruiter emailed to tell me decisions would be pushed off another week because they need to fill the role before proceeding. What do you make of this?

Currently a manager for an OP clinic. Gave my notice after receiving an offer back in patient care for more money and a better schedule. Spoke to my RVP today who had nothing but positive feedback. He asked for feedback on how to prep the next non-clinical manager as others in the region have been fired or underperformed. Should I be insulted he did not offer me a raise? Wondering if I should use this an opportunity to negotiate or run as I have been feeling undervalued?

Serious question - the president of our office magically disappeared last week. No two weeks notice, no eloquent goodbye emails, not even an official announcement. That means she was fired but they can’t say, right? Honestly asking because it all seems so mysterious.

Seeking advice. Has anyone negotiated severance pay during covid? I was just laid off after being with the company for 3yrs, working countless hours of overtime that I was never compensated for as an exempt employee and they only offered me two weeks pay as severance. While I'm a strong HRBP, I've yet to manage a team. And while I train managers on people leadership skills, I myself, haven't had a chance to flex those muscles. Those in HR leadership, should I apply for HR Director roles even though I haven't managed a team?
