Is there any announcement of work from home?

Since summer started, working from home has been a blessing. I’m tanner than ever since I’m not stuck in the office until the sound goes down. And there’s something awesome about taking a conference call sitting out by the pool. It makes me feel way more important than I am.

Just lateraled to another big law firm, starting in a couple of weeks. Firm extended WFH until at least Oct. Any tips for starting new job remotely/connecting with people? Should I still ask to go to the office just to see what it looks like...?

Any tips to help stay focused? WFH has been difficult for me because it’s so hard to focus (harder than it is at the office). I know I’m so lucky to still have my job & work coming in, so I feel bad.

I am about to finish a 6 month bootcamp and I am a single mum. Is it realistic for me to find a remote working job or working in the office during term time (school hours) and working from home during the holidays/evenings. If this is possible some possible companies for me to try looking for work would be great. Many thanks.

When life returns to normal, would people prefer to WFH anywhere or return to their offices in NYC?

Me and my girlfriend both live in the same city, working from home, living with our respective families.

Before covid and wfh, we were in gurgaon and we used to go to each other's places to have some "private time"

It looks like a distant luxury now.
Any ideas of what can be done? Anyone facing a similar issue who got any resolution?

A parent of one of my students told admin she thinks it's irresponsible that I won't be grading over Christmas break. I let the students know to get any work they need graded in before the break and I'll get it to it during our workdays in January. Apparently that's not fast enough for her 🙄. I have cleared all the interviews for Walmart and salary negotiations are also done. A month ago the recruiter said that they are waiting on some approvals and once it is done we will be issuing the offer letter but I haven't heard back any other update since then. Am I getting rejected or is it normal to be on hold without any update for a month at this stage?
