Cars that park themselves = not news.
Hi, I been working for Lloyds Bank for almost 9 years now , I recently attended a interview for Barclays and offered an Senior Business Analyst AVP role in Wealth and private banking area. I did not see much difference in the salary offered and it is pretty much same ie 68.5k.But the difference is current role is London based, however the Barclays one is based in Glasgow where cost of living is less in comparison. I am unable to decide whether to take the offer or not..any suggestions will be helpful pls.

I wouldn't see the harm in making connections and testing the waters. The job market is awful right now, so competition is tough. You should at least know what you're dealing with if you do get laid off.

Maybe try the recruiter fishbowl. My guess is “no,” especially if you tell them that. It is a waste of their time to do anything now, if you would reject everything until you get fired.
Now, maybe you are underpaid. You could talk with them about salary, and maybe they would find it useful, if you would take a job that pays more. You could then expand the search for lower salary amounts if you get fired.

So…you want to be unemployed while looking for a new job?
If I don't get laid off I'll stay here for at least three more years.
