Is there market value in getting your CISSP before you have the 5 years of relevant experience? (CISSP Associate). I already work in cybersecurity, just 2 years shy if needed experience

No. If you get it, you can’t say CISSP associate or you risk getting banned for life. It’s ISC^2 associate, and no one knows what that means

like

If you use the parenthetical it’s the same issue, I asked. Don’t have insight into the badges

like

yes it’s worth it, so you don’t ever have to take that test again

like

Meh…. If you are a consultant then it may help you securing a promo for SC

If you have the knowledge, go take the test. Once you obtain the experience apply for the title. There is no harm in it. You don't have to advertise you're an associate of ics2 as well. Up to you. If a consultant on my team obtained the rating, I'd be happy for them. It's a solid thing to do.

Curious what your day to day work is like?

It could be relevant for government and public services clients as multiple labor categories specifically call out the associate certification.

I want to take more brainstorming, decision making responsibilities but I don’t see that in the career path for PM. Career path usually goes like this- Sr PM, Director, Sr Director, and so on. But all do same work.

Very specific to retail and/or hospitality in-house roles: has anyone found a good solution for predictive scheduling? Our retail division has one set of software for scheduling and one for payroll, and neither of them can handle predictive scheduling compliance issues unless they’re used for both the scheduling and payroll functions. I’m coming up empty on ideas for them to bridge the gap, but I’m also new to my compliance counsel role, so I would be overjoyed if anyone has suggestions.
