It's been three months since my layoff and here's the latest data. I've applied to 120 positions, with 40 of those still pending. There were 20 interviews via phone or email but only one with a hiring manager. Things seem to be moving faster now compared to the summer.

About Ghosting: Linked In is the worst with no reply to 70% of applications. The other boards range between 30 to 50 percent.
Government jobs (city to Federal) take months to decide but will always let you know so that's nice.

Currently an associate at a mid-sized firm with “strong potential” to make partner at the end of this year. Things have been toxic for a while, but have cratered in 2021, with few signs there will be any positive changes on the horizon. What are the pros and cons of staying to make partner before trying to go in-house? I’d assumed it would be better to job search with that title on the resume, but am rethinking my assumptions the worse things get.

I am from a tier 1 college and yet able to land only a couple of interviews and they keep me on stand by(2 companies so far). They are prefering folks with experience even for APM positions. What is the best way to bag a APM role with just one year work ex in pperations role. Will an internship help?

I wanted to know the interview process for the role of program manager in Microsoft. How many technical rounds happen? Are they very technical or mostly based on case studies and frameworks? It would be really helpful if someone could throw some light on this. I have recently received a call from Microsoft and would have my screening today.

I have 3 years of Experience working as a fullstack developer using .NET Core, Angular, React, and Postgres.

I have also done certifications in Machine learning using Python and Tensorflow, but I am unable to land an interview with Microsoft, even if my profile matches the job description.

I love my job in special education, the job may bring quite a bit of stress and exhaustion but nothing compares to the stress of the related service team. OT, PT, speech, BCBA, social worker, etc etc is really what’s killing me this year. It is 23 days into the school year and the team members all make different plans and as a result, nothing is being accomplished. And if paraprofessionals follow ie what OT says but not PT, it cause so much unnecessary conflict!

6 months pregnant and just laid off. And 40% of my severance was just taken in taxes .. I just spoke with paid family leave and I no longer qualify even though I had been paying into the program (thanks NY).. I already applied for unemployment but doctors are telling me I’ve got 10-14 weeks left in this pregnancy.. so stressed having twins and being unemployed, no maternity leave, no paychecks coming in, and I’ve been applying but not a single interview.. just ugh. 😭
