I’m a non-TX immigration attorney mentoring a UT student who went to my undergrad. He’s done incredibly well in OCI and pre-OCI. Does anyone have advice about interviewing somewhere with bad Yelp/google reviews? Is it OK to ask about it in an interview? Does any law office, for the most part, have “good” reviews, especially family law? The reviews I read on lots of law office pages are usually people who are accusing the firm of over-billing, not doing enough work or losing/obtaining an unfavorable outcome. How much attention should one pay to this when looking for a new firm at which to work?

I recently had an interview with HCL and cleared 2 rounds of technical interview. I waited for a week for HR call but no such call was received. I then contacted the POC who scheduled the interview (he is an HCL employee) and he said that I have been shortlisted and will receive HR call shortly. This was 1 week ago and I have still not received any call. Has anyone else faced the same issue? And if yes, should I even expect a call fro HR?

What’s the typical salary progression like from analyst to senior analyst to consultant for Strategy and Consulting?

Does your assigned office location matter much? We got acquired and are currently integrating. Specifically, I have team members in Jersey City that are a quick subway ride from NY locations, but are hours away from their assigned NJ office by public transit. We're told it's policy that everyone is assigned to an office in their home state, but that it's okay to use visit any office location and not to worry about it. Is that all true? Will they not have to make that long commute often?

I think I bombed my final round today. Was taken a bit aback with a pure focus on numbers so took a bit of time solving it and in the end interviewer skipped one part of a chart cos she had to move on to other charts. The qualitative case part went well I think. Disappointed in myself!
