It’s good to see/feel like I am not alone in the toughness of the job market right now. I feel like I’m in a time crunch- my partner got a new job and we are both hoping to relocate to be closer to step kids&he doesn’t want to make the 1.5 hour drive forever and I don’t blame him. I told him I would look for a job so that we could move. I’ve been applying like crazy & haven’t gotten a bite. I’m not letting myself get down about it I know it’s the name of the game.

Hey i had my HR discussion with Infosys HR, they are not even ready to match my counter offer, they will release the offer tomorrow, how to renegotiate now, any tips, they are saying they can't go beyond that for the role. Once when I was waiting tables, I had a guy pay me cash. The change was 45 cents, which I didn't give back to him because like who wants that. He then asked where the change was, and when I explained that I didn't give back the loose change, he made a big stink about how dollars and cents matter and didn't leave me a tip. He was a republican staffer on capitol hill.

Moving from T2 to McKinsey. How do vacation requests work? I have family and friends getting married this fall in weddings delayed because of covid, but I’ll just have started so wanted to get a sense of how realistic taking vacation this fall would be and how to approach taking it (e.g. mention to HR, staffing). Question! I just moved(transferred) to another team of my company and received new title, graphic & creative services. I was a senior graphic designer at the previous team. What do you think about my new title? I know that title is not a big thing but why I feel like my title is downgraded here… Good thing is my jobs here at my current team are what I really wanted to do. This is amazing. I started out as a graphic designer. Worked for about 4yrs in different roles. Then i started a digital design role for 2 yrs and then made my transition into ux. i have been in a ux role for 5 years. But i want to steer my career towards something more creative. Like in 5-10 years I wouldn’t want to be a specialist or a ux director. I d like to be an art director or creative director. I love branding & marketing but also product. Would love something that allows me to do both?
